Over the years, there have been countless UFO sightings, with eyewitnesses swearing they’ve seen something not of this world—technology far superior to anything we can conceive. Even the United States Navy released three such videos in 2020, claiming that these objects defy our understanding of aerodynamics and applied science. Former US President Barack Obama even touched on the subject on *The Late Late Show with James Corden*, confirming that there are UFO sightings the government can’t explain.
But what do all these UFO sightings have in common? Take a guess—it’s water bodies. Yes, almost all UFO sightings happen near a water body, where the UFO is seen to disappear into. Why water? Because we’ve only explored 5% of our oceans. We know more about the Martian surface than we do about our own oceans. If these UFOs belong to aliens, water might be the only common element between us and them.
One particular footage stands out among the rest. It’s from August 2013 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. During a routine mission, the US Customs and Border Patrol encountered a strange light. The pilot immediately turned on the thermal imaging camera, capturing a metallic sphere moving at incredible speeds. The object then headed towards the ocean, splashing down and disappearing underwater for a split second before splitting into two separate objects in real-time.
Experts analyzed the footage and concluded that the object’s thermal signatures didn’t match anything known—balloons, birds, drones, or man-made aircraft were all ruled out. It was something bizarre, something not from Earth.
But UFO sightings aren’t just a recent phenomenon. In Chile, on November 11th, 2014, naval officers witnessed a strange object dispersing an unknown element into the air. Radar failed to detect it, and attempts to communicate with it were met with silence. After studying the incident for two years, the Chilean military classified it as an unidentified aerial phenomenon.
Similar sightings date back even further. In January 1992, thousands in Vichuquén, Chile, witnessed a luminous cloud resembling an atomic explosion or a spaceship with a comet-like tail.
The question remains: What should we do? Should we investigate further, or should we leave these unidentified aerial objects alone, given their superior technology? The truth is out there, and it’s time to pursue it without fear or stigma. The more we talk about UFOs, the closer we may come to understanding them and mitigating any potential risks they pose.
